Xanthan
Gum (XC Polymer) |
Xanthan Gum is characterized by
thermal tolerance, salinity tolerance and shear
tolerance. It has high viscosity yield at low
concentration, and high shear stress at low shear
rate. So it is successfully employed in offshore
drilling, sea-beach drilling, onshore drilling,
horizontal well drilling and directional well
drilling.
Xanthan Gum is also used in water shutoff, injectivity
profile modification and enhanced oil recovery.
The encouraging input/output ratio has proved
its efficacy in EOR. Xanthan Gum becomes a demonstrative
example in polymer drive and ternary combination
drive. |
